I believe that people tend to know what is best for them deep down, and it is my job to assist them in discovering what they feel is the best solution. I am systemically oriented in my therapeutic work, seeing a problem as embedded in relationships either within the family, or even the larger societal system. Together, we will explore the root causes of your problems and evaluate specific approaches you can take to accomplish your goals. Another fundamental part of my approach is compassion and empathy. I tend to see the positive in people and can hold a significant amount of pain when clients reveal the hurt inside. I feel privileged to be a part of their healing journey.
Guessing your way through life is stressful. I work with college students who are realizing that there's a lot of things that they weren't taught in school and are ready to take control of their future. Now that you have more freedom and choice, you also have to figure out what to do with it. Who are you? Who do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? How do you get there? If you're starting out college, you might be trying to get yourself into a routine, make new friends, navigate the campus dating scene, decide on a major, or handle the stress of midterms/finals. Maybe you're past that part of your college experience, but you still haven't found a good solution to those problems: still putting off studying, dealing with friend drama, having ups and downs with dating, etc. And if you're getting towards the end of your college experience, you might be worried out about what you're going to do after college and what that will look like. You don't need to figure all that out on your own. I help people get to the root of their problems so that they can understand themselves and others better. If you can understand your past and unlearn things that aren't helping you anymore, then you can replace them with healthy ways to move forward with confidence.

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist offering therapy for individuals, couples, and families in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. I’m also the founder of Nourished Resilience, a practice rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, connected relationships—within ourselves and with others. I work with adolescents (14+), adults, and couples navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and relationship concerns. I also help clients explore the impact of family-of-origin dynamics and rebuild trust in themselves and their relationships. With training in both individual and relational systems, I offer therapy that honors the complexity of your inner and outer worlds. In addition to clinical work, I’ve held leadership roles in supervision and program development, and I bring that depth of experience into each session. Hello and welcome to my page. My ideal client is struggling with their self-esteem, anxious and/or depressive symptoms, relationship issues, and even substance use/misuse. Most of my clients' goal is to live a more fulfilling and content life. They want to feel understood, supported, and listened to empathetically. I can help by primarily trying to understand you. That is the bottom line. I will offer you a safe, caring, and nonjudgemental environment to do this. I will listen fully with interest and respect so you can begin to talk about the parts of your life and yourself you are struggling with. I have worked as a social worker for 18 years, first at a community mental health center, then at a private group practice, and now solely in my own private practice. I work with young adults, adults, and older adults.
Hi, I’m Janet. You may be overwhelmed, shutdown, struggling with deep moral distress and existential dread, or stuck in AuDHD burnout, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in supporting people deeply connected to non-human animals and nature and those experiencing AuDHD burnout. Other areas of expertise are chronic illness, medical trauma, and sociopolitical moral distress. I am compassionate, warm, collaborative, and prioritize building a safe trusting relationship with you. I explicitly recognize structural injustices in my work and practice anti-oppressively. We can support your nervous system, clarify what is important to you, and help you move - at your pace - toward what matters most to you.

My core values are faith, family, social and economic justice. My worldview is quite simple. You see, I believe that everyone has a right to be in a good place mentally physically and spiritually. I find that I have evolved into a change agent - which is a natural profession for a social worker. The same steps that I have taken to secure my life, mentally physically and emotionally, are the very same steps I am willing to assist my patients/clients in taking. My specialties lie in my abilities to move a person or a family from a place of dysfunction to functionality. I strive to improve the quality of life those whom I counsel. My theoretical framework a solution focused, interwoven with resiliency theory, using a strength-based approach. I am just a chat away if you need me – 'how may I help you?"

Many of my clients are making exciting but often daunting transitions -- either from Jr High to High School, High School to College, or whatever comes next. Change is so often viewed with anxiety and negativity. Yet, change is happening all around us every day. How can we make change a positive experience in our lives? How can we choose to change something that is not working? How can we learn and grow from a challenging experience? As a counselor, I believe my job is to create a space where clients can explore these and other topics, in a way that ultimately positively impacts their day to day lives. I have 10+ years of professional experience working with adolescents and adults in outreach and community based organizations. I have a client centered, strengths-based approach to my work that integrates Positive Psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that it is critical that the client takes an active role in the counseling process. My clients face a range of life’s challenges: depression, anxiety, peer conflict, communication, transition to college/work, enhancing self-awareness, relationship/family dynamics (separation/divorce), grief, and autism or attention deficit/executive functioning challenges. I work primarily with young adults and their families, adults, parents and couples.
I aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where my clients can feel comfortable sharing their life stressors and experiences. My goal is to meet my client where they are, as every person and their experiences are different and should be treated as such. I work to provide a collaborative approach to treatment with my clients by developing goals that address their needs and what they hope to achieve in therapy. I provide counseling services to teens and adults from the ages of 14 and up. The majority of my clients experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, sexuality, or gender identity issues. My primary treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Psychotherapy and Acceptance and Committment Therapy.

Over the last 13 years of being a therapist I’ve had the privilege to meet and treat so many people, each of whom was on their own journey to better mental health and now my own career journey has led me here. I started Caim Counseling as a place for people to address their mental health so that they can be empowered to heal. I believe strongly in meeting people where they’re at and tailoring mental health care treatment to what each individual needs. I have an eclectic approach which leans towards Person-Centered therapy and have done additional work in areas like women’s issues, eating disorders, anxiety, grief, and LGBTQIA+ specific concerns. I believe strongly in the equality of all people and am committed to having an inclusive practice. I can’t wait to meet you and see how we can work together to get you to a place of better mental health.
