If anxiety, relationship conflict, or adjusting to being a college student or soon-to-be graduate are weighing you down, you don’t have to go through it alone. Many of my clients feel stuck, unheard, or overwhelmed by responsibilities before coming to therapy. Together, we’ll work toward clarity, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self. I specialize in helping college students navigate anxiety, self-esteem struggles, and relationship stress. Using practical strategies (CBT, mindfulness, family systems) alongside deep relational work, I’ll support you in breaking old patterns and creating lasting change. Therapy with me is collaborative, warm, and focused on insight and action. I draw from CBT, mindfulness, structural & family systems approaches to help you understand patterns, build coping tools, and create more balance. Whether you’re an individual working on anxiety and self-esteem or a couple wanting to improve communication, I’ll tailor therapy to you. If you're done with the people-pleasing and want to feel more at ease, I’m accepting new clients in New York and Connecticut (online only). I accept multiple insurances and can provide a superbill if I am out-of-network with your insurance. Call or email today to schedule your free 15-minute consultation—let’s see if we’re a good fit.

I have worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, from all walks of life. My most recent work with clients has targeted anxiety, depression, self esteem, relationship/interpersonal challenges, and school/work stress. I have also worked with couples and families looking to restore peace and balance in their homes. My approach is both exploratory/insight-oriented and solution-focused. It’s crucial to understand the deeper, often invisible, parts of you, and it is equally important to have concrete tools that you can utilize in your journey toward change. As mentioned above, I am dedicated to collaborative work (you are the expert of your life!) - we will gain insights together, decide what skills might be useful, and we will make tweaks along the way.

My name is Cristal Sampson. I am the sole owner and healthcare provider at Spirit Clinic. A great way to describe what it’s like to work with me is through a term I’ve coined: mindful medication management. Mindful med management is an approach to psychiatric care that is attentive to the unique needs and concerns of each individual. It’s a collaborative process, where we work together to ensure that treatment decisions are made with your input and full understanding. At its core, this approach is relational, focusing on building trust and fostering open communication, so you feel supported every step of the way. It's also deeply considerate, acknowledging and respecting your personal experiences and preferences when it comes to treatment. Taking a holistic view, it goes beyond just addressing symptoms—encompassing your overall well-being, including emotional, physical, and social factors. Most importantly, it’s patient-led, meaning that you guide the process, and I’m here to help you find the best path toward better health, on your terms.

Hi, I'm Lisa Grine, MSN, APN, PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for College Students What Students Say About Me "Great listener, knowledgeable, and kind-hearted." Years of Experience 10 years+ My Approach I'm both warm and direct—able to match whatever you need in that moment. Sometimes that means sitting with you quietly and listening. Other times it means telling you what I see, even when it's hard to hear. Our sessions are structured conversations, not free-flowing chats. I believe that clarity helps. What I Work With Most • Anxiety, mood concerns,(mental health during prenatal, during pregnancy, and postpartum needs), and depression to name a few • High-achieving students experiencing burnout and life transitions • Young adults-both undergrad and graduate students How I Work Often, college students feel forced to choose between success and wellbeing — but together, we can find a way to balance both! I take a holistic approach to care, which means looking at the whole person, not just symptoms. And let's be honest, it's no surprise that college life can throw our health off track — skipping fresh air, surviving on less-than-ideal food, and running on questionable amounts of sleep are basically a rite of passage. Integrative and Holistic care also means honoring your religious beliefs, ethics, morals, and value systems, because those things genuinely shape who you are. I offer medications when clinically appropriate, but my focus goes far beyond that. Having worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I understand the intensity of acute care as well as the importance of building sustainable, everyday coping strategies that actually fit your life. Who I'm Best Suited For I tend to connect well with women, men, and provide mental health support for women who are pregnant, peri/postpartum. I am strictly telehealth and so if someone needs a stimulant or controlled substance I can recommend providers who are in person or hybrid to match those needs based on current laws and restrictions. I'm upfront about this because I believe matching matters. If you are in any acute danger please seek emergency care first as this practice is outpatient. If you're looking for a provider who shares certain values or experiences, that can make a difference in how comfortable you feel. The last Saturday of the month, I am open to accommodate your schedule if needed in the mornings.

"You're like a listening Yoda," a patient said to me. I have 30+ years of experience making people of all ages and backgrounds and orientations feel comfortable. My patients, colleagues, supervisors and clients have come from nearly every country, represent every socio-economic class, and every aspect of the rainbow in terms of gender identity and sexuality, and have ranged in age from 5 years old to almost 80 years old! Do You Struggle With The 3 P’s? * Pressure * Procrastination * Perfectionism Are you trapped in negative thought-spirals? Improving your well-being starts with how you speak to yourself, and shifting your thinking toward supportive thoughts. Therapy is a process of breaking those patterns. It's also a exploratory process of exploration. It can be short-term or long-term. Often times the initial presenting problem is connected to underlying and enduring deeper themes. We can also be playful and tap into creativity in session. Patients who enjoy music, pop culture, and other creative modalities tell me they appreciate their use as a tool in treatment. People also like learning about the mind in general and theirs in particular. **None of us changes hearing something just once or saying something just once. It takes some repetition to identify, understand, acknowledge, and release.** In-person sessions available in Uptown/Carrollton New Orleans. Remote sessions available for Louisiana and New York Residents,
