Hi and welcome! Do you wish life would slow down so you can take a breath? Stuff has been piling up and now your relationships are strained, your social life isn't what you want, and you don’t even really know who you are. Clients come to me looking to connect with a fellow human whose been there because therapy is a place where you feel genuinely seen & valued. Together we'll collaborate to achieve what you envision for your life and create lasting change. I help my client make sense of the confusing and messy parts of life. Areas of specific focus are: anxiety, self esteem, sex, relationships, life changes, identity exploration and development, sibling relationships, and more providing neurodivergent and queer affirming care. Many of my clients have had troubles connecting with other therapists or are hesitant to start the process. I get it! Vulnerability is scary as hell and the idea of therapy can be intimidating. I hold such gratitude to offer a space that feels safe & open to allow those I work with to freely explore themselves. I deeply value the relationship between a person & their therapist and prioritize nurturing this connection to make our work together the most meaningful for you. My role is to listen, offer perspective, and provide supportive challenge & guidance to empower you in supporting yourself as you continue to move through life. I tell my clients: at the end of the day, I’m here to work myself out of a job. Therapy with me integrates talking, exercises, and – brace yourself – sometimes homework between sessions to practice what we’re working on. Together, we will cultivate healthy habits, gain tools to navigate life's changes, identify unhelpful patterns, & discover or reconnect with your truest self. I believe we all have the capacity to heal and grow. Warm, intentional support during that journey can make all the difference. Through my own experiences, I know how powerful human connection can be in achieving change. I also know the therapist you trust for help is an important choice. My goal is to foster a space where all parts of you feel truly understood & aligned. So, I take my time to listen and learn about YOU – your circumstances, inclinations, past experiences, and desires to tailor my approach in ways that best serve you and your goals. I uplift and affirm BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Kink communities, and all forms of identity expression, lifestyles, and relationships.

If balancing academic/work pressure and your personal life is leaving you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or burned out, I am here to help. Many clients I work with enter therapy feeling stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or pushing themselves at the expense of their well-being. Perfectionism and self-criticism often make it even harder to slow down or feel satisfied. I specialize in therapy with college/graduate students and young professionals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, early career stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I also work with survivors of sexual trauma and individuals who want to better understand how past experiences continue to shape their emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My approach is warm, collaborative, and values-focused. After working together, my clients often have greater self-confidence, increased insight into how past experiences shape current patterns, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based behavioral approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, along with emotion-focused, self-compassion, and strengths-based perspectives. We'll explore practical tools to move forward from unhelpful patterns so that you can live more authentically. I am here to support you in understanding yourself with greater insight and compassion, easing anxiety’s influence on your wellbeing, and building a life that reflects your values rather than fear or pressure. I offer telehealth therapy for busy academic and professional lives. If this sounds like you, I invite you to explore my website and reach out for a consultation. I see clients in Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, and Colorado. I am also PSYPACT authorized to see clients in 40 additional states. *Note: I am in-network with several insurances in Massachusetts and Colorado, and I am out-of-network in New York, New Hampshire, and in PSYPACT states. I provide a superbill for my clients to request reimbursement from their insurance. Please reach out with any questions; I'm happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.

I enjoy working with clients who are eager to improve areas in their lives related to self-esteem, relationships, intimacy, sexuality, trauma, and career satisfaction. Together we will increase your self-acceptance, authenticity, and connectedness with others; you will develop skills to reduce feelings of shame, anxiety, and hopelessness. My warm, open-minded, and non-judgmental style cultivates a process that is both inviting and challenging. We'll explore and confront the cognitive and behavioral blocks in your daily life, as well as past events that are still holding you back. Because no two individuals are the same, our treatment plan will be tailored to reflect your goals. In addition to being a psychotherapist, I have been a full-time professor at New York University for the past 20 years. I specialize in counseling clients in the entertainment industry, creatives in related fields, college students, and the LGBTQ community. College is an exciting time though it can be an overwhelming one as well. College comes with its own unique set of challenges - increased workload, the need for greater time management, increased independence, and trying to find a good work-life balance, to name a few. College life can bring on new anxiety or exacerbate pre-existing anxiety, and managing this and coping in healthy and effective ways can prove difficult at times. Anxiety and stress can also trigger new or worsen pre-existing Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs), like excoriation disorder (skin picking) and trichotillomania (hair pulling). If you are a female student struggling with anxiety and need help managing it, and/or are having a difficult time with BFRBs, I would love to work with you. Together we will work on identifying stressors/triggers as well as strategies and skills you can use to better manage your anxiety and/or your BFRB. I look forward to meeting you!

College can be exciting - and also overwhelming, lonely, and nothing like you expected. I work well with students navigating anxiety, perfectionism, relationship or family stress, identity questions, low self-esteem, academic pressure, and major life transitions. You might look like you’re doing fine while privately feeling stuck, exhausted, uncertain, or like everyone else has somehow figured out something you haven’t. Therapy can be a place to understand yourself better, build practical ways to cope, and figure out what you actually want your life and relationships to look like. My style is warm, curious, collaborative, and down-to-earth; you don’t need to have everything figured out before you show up.

I also incorporate elements of mindfulness practice, motivational interviewing and positive psychology in my work with clients. I work with adults (18+) and assist with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work-related stress, substance use and more.
