Life transitions—whether starting college, adjusting to new environments, navigating relationships, transitioning to a new place—can feel exciting but also overwhelming. I am Dr. Dana Albert-Proos, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 15 years of experience supporting individuals across life stages and through meaningful transitions. I have a passion for working with students as they adjust and manage college life. Over the years, I have worked with students facing a wide range of needs, from managing academic pressure and social dynamics to coping with emotional health concerns. I also bring extensive experience supporting international students as they cope with the emotional impact of relocation and cultural adjustment. My approach is tailored to each person and emphasizes the mind–body connection. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emotional regulation techniques, mindfulness and body-based practices, and Expressive Arts Therapy. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can reflect on your experiences, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward growth and balance. Through a collaborative process shaped around your needs, we will work together toward your goals and support your unique journey. Hi, I'm Hailey! I’m a dedicated member of ECA Counseling & Services, where we’re committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals from all walks of life—including teens, emerging adults, young professionals, and adults. Our practice specializes in supporting those facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and career or academic struggles. As a licensed clinical social worker with nearly a decade of experience, I have worked in both residential and outpatient settings, bringing extensive expertise in trauma-informed care. I believe in viewing individuals as their own true experts, empowering them in trusting in their strength and knowledge to progress toward their self-directed goals. I aim to be a consistent support for my clients, weaving together compassion, humor, and a little bit of healthy risk-taking and challenge to create my unique approach in therapy. I draw from a background in expressive arts therapy which, when combined with trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic practices, techniques, and skill-building, allows me to work collaboratively with clients to find solutions custom-fit and tailor-made for their unique experiences.
I work with clients who feel stuck—whether that’s in their relationships, thoughts, careers, or life in general. My goal is to help you feel less stuck by providing collaborative, direct support focused on problem-solving and implementing lasting solutions. I believe therapy should help you gain insight into who you are at your core while also building the tools you need to face challenges with confidence. In our sessions, you’ll find a warm inviting space where I’ll be honest and hold you accountable to your goals. I aim to cultivate a healthy sense of challenge that encourages you to work toward meaningful change. My hope is that you’ll feel grounded and supported as we tackle life’s difficulties together.
Welcome. My intention in therapy is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I bring curiosity, kindness, and genuine care into every session, and I honor you as the expert of your own life. My role is to be a steady guide and support as we explore what healing and growth can look like together. I draw on my experience supporting adults, adolescents, and families to help clients with anxiety, OCD, depression, and related concerns, using approaches such as ACT, ERP, and MBCT to tailor treatment. Sessions provide a supportive, trauma-informed, culturally responsive space for growth and change.
Welcome to my practice. The fact that you are here is a testament to your desire for a better future full of healing and growth. I am acutely aware of how difficult this first step can be, and I am here to support you on your journey. I firmly believe that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is vital in helping my clients strive for the better. To that end, I always aim to provide a safe, open and non-judgmental atmosphere where my clients can comfortably explore the most intimate details of their lives. I’ve worked with a diverse set of clients on a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, ADHD, acculturation and immigration issues, academic achievement, and more. I am multiculturally competent and fluent in English and Turkish.
College can feel like a constant balancing act between expectations, relationships, and the pressure to have it all figured out. I specialize in working with high-achieving individuals who look successful on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware–they know why they feel the way they do, but that insight alone hasn’t been enough to shift how they feel. My approach focuses on helping you reconnect with your emotional experiences as valuable sources of information, not something to fix or avoid. Together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the overthinking so you can feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally resilient. Clients describe me as warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I create a space where you can feel both deeply supported and gently challenged. If this resonates, I’d love to connect for a free consultation.
