Female-first psychiatric care. If you’re navigating a new season of life—trying to conceive, pregnancy, or perimenopause—or looking for support with treatment of a specific condition such as PMS or PMDD, PCOS, ADHD, depression, or anxiety, I want to offer you the expertise, compassion, and genuine care you deserve. I am a Harvard-trained and board-certified psychiatrist specializing in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry. I take a conservative approach to medication, taking the time to listen to you and help you make empowered decisions about your mental health. I provide medication management and psychotherapy through a female-first frame: putting you, your needs, and your wellness at the forefront of our work together. I view my work as an opportunity to help women feel seen and supported through the most transformative stages of their lives. My patients’ unique needs are at the forefront of my practice: hearing them when others have not listened, acknowledging their challenges when others have downplayed them, and empowering them to take control of their health, wellness, future, and family. “I want to feel happier and less depressed.” “We would like to improve our relationship.” “I would like to feel calmer and more in control, in spite of the stress, loss and trauma I have experienced.” “We want to help our children cope with our divorce.” “We need to figure out how we are going to live as a divorced family.” These are some of the most frequent goals of my clients as we work together. Many of the stresses and conflicts my clients face can be due to life’s experiences and losses or can come from within. Stress and conflict can lead to disintegration of relationships with our partners and our children, and even in how we view ourselves. Strengthening coping skills, emotional connection and intimacy can help repair fractures, increase compassionate understanding, and build closeness. Focusing on positive growth, shifting well-engrained patterns, and building greater self-acceptance can create lasting change and happiness. As a clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience, I help adults, couples and families, by integrating many different therapeutic approaches to best fit my clients’ needs.

I am a social worker focused primarily on helping those with a wide variety of mental health concerns. With a background in therapeutic communities, I believe it is essential to protect the dignity and humanity of a patient no matter the extent of their suffering. My work is guided by psychoanalysis and phenomenology, which allow me to collaboratively explore the meaning of one's difficulties with a patient in the context of their life to alleviate rather than manage symptoms. I pride myself on work with clients who are apprehensive about therapy, have stalled in therapy in the past, are skeptical of modern paradigms of mental health, have had unusual experiences or have unusual spiritual beliefs, have been called too smart for their own good or have otherwise been made to feel difficult.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience in the field. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and received my Masters in Clinical Social Work from Fordham Graduate School of Social Service. My work is enriched by advanced trainings and diverse practice I utilize evidence based practices, including psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy, while also drawing upon my holistic education, trainings, and certifications; some examples include mind-body healing techniques, emotional freedom technique-tapping, meditation, and teen/adult yoga and mindfulness. I primarily work with women and young adults (18+) coping with anxiety, depression, life transitions, mood fluctuations, relationship issues, ADHD/executive functioning, and highly sensitive persons/empaths. Some common issues I treat are the following but not limited to: - anxiety and trouble relaxing - overthinking - people pleasing - self-doubt - absorbing and feeling emotions deeply/ identifies as an empath or highly sensitive person - imposter syndrome - overwhelm/burnout - procrastination or feeling stuck - comparison trap - elevated stress - sleep disturbance - panic attacks - procrastination - health anxiety - body image/body dysmorphia Ultimately, I believe the human spirit is incredibly strong, resilient and capable of achieving personal growth and healing. Together, we will prioritize your goals to help you feel more grounded, centered, and at peace even during the most challenging times. I am committed to empowering college students as they navigate the complexities of college life. My treatment approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally sensitive. a Yale-educated and clinically trained therapist, I believe therapy begins with one essential foundation: feeling safe enough to be truly seen and heard. Choosing to pursue therapy is a deeply personal decision, and the relationship between therapist and client should be grounded in compassion, empathy, and trust. I understand that every person’s story is unique, and I am committed to meeting each client with respect, curiosity, and genuine care throughout their therapeutic journey.

I practice 'relational, client-centered' therapy where you are the leader in the work we do together. I value the client-therapist relationship & show up as a whole person therapist - if I cannot provide competent care & support for your therapeutic needs, I will work with you to find you the therapist you deserve. I primarily see individuals experiencing life overwhelm, chronic illness, perinatal or postpartum concerns, identity exploration, & those in (or interested in) the medical, human services, or first responder fields.
