Therapists for college students near Cambridge, MA
If you are struggling with emotional issues, stressful life experiences or feel a sense of disconnection, connecting with a therapist can help to alleviate your suffering. With me you will be able to explore difficult thoughts and feelings, challenge patterns and behaviors that might not be serving you or reflect on your relationships in a safe and supportive space. I care about the relationship I establish with my clients, am warm and compassionate and enjoy working collaboratively. My approach to counseling is holistic and grounded in the belief that our mind and body are one. Emotions live in the body as well as the brain. Along with traditional verbal psychotherapy I often integrate body-centered and creative arts therapy. My training allows me to use a variety of evidenced-based counseling theories to support your individual needs. I enjoy working with individuals to increase positive feelings such as self-esteem, feel more connected, learn strategies to handle difficult situations, build resilience, and become more self-aware to affect change and improve quality of life.
I work primarily with those suffering from chronic illness. Difficult to treat medical conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Lupus, etc. are often poorly understood, and it can be very difficult for patients to find the help and support they need. I teach my clients tools for coping with and managing every day life with these conditions, in addition to mind body medicine practices to help alleviate symptoms and to decrease stress. I have recently started offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as a way to cope with life stressors or trauma.
If you’re trying to navigate stress, identity, relationships, or just the pressure of figuring life out, you don’t have to do it alone. I have nearly 15 years of experience working specifically with young adults, and I aim to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or just unsure of what you need, we can take the time to sort through it together. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity about you. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and understood, so I prioritize building a relationship where you can speak openly. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and deeply committed to creating a space that is welcoming and inclusive of BIPOC clients. Your identities, experiences, and cultural context matter. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with openness, respect, and care, I’d be glad to connect.

Through my own lived experience, I can deeply resonate with the realities my Millennial and Gen Z clients face. Dating, social media, politics, finances, and demands from school or work can be so daunting. My main priority as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental, engaging, and approachable environment where you feel empowered to navigate these challenges together. Just having one of those days where you need to vent about your mom, partner, or roommate? There’s plenty of space for that too. While I pull from many approaches in my work, I especially enjoy utilizing skills-based therapies like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). These can address concerns like anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflict, sleep, and more. My goal is that you leave each and every session feeling more ready to take on what life is throwing your way. If you’re looking to gain control amidst our out-of-control world, I’d love to connect with you. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out for a free 15-minute consultation.

Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping people move through these moments with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. Whether you're a college student feeling anxious, burnt out, or unsure about your relationships, or a new parent navigating identity shifts and career pressures - she offers a warm, supportive space to help you feel more grounded and empowered. Sometimes pain is overwhelming, especially as a young adult. You might be feeling sad, worried, or like no one else in the world understands. Maybe you are struggling in school or work, or having a hard time making friends. Or maybe you are in a difficult family situation, or are completely overwhelmed by what you want your future to be like. Regardless of where your pain is from, you may be noticing things like withdrawing from others or even physically harming yourself because you haven’t found better ways to cope with your feelings. Or maybe you’ve just noticed that you’re having more anxiety or sadness than usual. However you are experiencing your pain right now, I welcome the opportunity to work with you to form new patterns and explore the pain that lies underneath your current ones. Difficulties in life sometimes can’t be avoided, but you don’t have to face them alone. If we work together, you will have the opportunity to explore your thoughts and emotions in a caring atmosphere. We can think together about what might best help you work through the difficulties you are facing so that you can begin creating a life for yourself that is both enjoyable and fulfilling. I like to find creative ways to help you express your thoughts and what you need. For some people that can be talking about thoughts and feelings directly and learning about coping skills, but it can also include artwork or even finding memes that resonate with you. One of my goals is to use what you already enjoy and find helpful to personalize our work to fit you. My sessions are feedback-informed. During our first session, we will talk about which approaches might work best for you and talk about what our future sessions might look like. Throughout our work together, we will check in about what is working well and what changes you might want to make to help our time to feel more effective and supportive. I invite you to explore my website for more information on working with me as well as my background and training. I welcome you contacting me with questions or to talk about if I might be a good fit to work with you.
Life can be exhausting, whether it's dealing with stress, anxiety, insomnia, or all of the above. I help clients manage these things so they can focus more on what’s important to them. I also work with clients on managing symptoms of ADHD, communication strategies, and balancing school-work-life.
Having three children in their 20s who've experienced college and graduate school, and having been a university first year advisor for six years, I'm interested in helping students manage their transition to college, academic pressures, relationships, and the anxiety or depression that sometimes overwhelm us at this stage in life.
Welcome! I'm a therapist who helps college/graduate students and young professionals move from feeling anxious, stuck and unsure to secure, at ease, and fulfilled. Whether it’s feelings of uncertainty about your college and career path, struggles with self-esteem and perfectionism, or adjusting to a new medical diagnosis, you know you’re ready to make changes in your life. Many of the people I work with identify as high-achievers who have “taken all the right steps”, yet are still feeling anxious or uncertain. On paper, they are doing great and seem to have it all together, but inside they’re struggling with feelings of imposter syndrome or like they don’t know if they’re on the right path. I'm here to help you gain the tools and skills necessary to thrive in the face of challenges. Together, we will identify your goals and work collaboratively with an individualized and strengths-based approach. Through our work, we will spend some time exploring your past while also ensuring that we’re taking action-oriented steps to keep you moving forward.
