As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I integrate a medical-model approach with supportive therapy to provide compassionate, comprehensive care. While diagnostic labels can help guide medication decisions, my focus is on understanding the deeper context of your challenges—exploring symptom triggers, emotional meanings, and how relationships influence your coping style. Mutual respect and trust are the foundation of my practice, and I am committed to creating a relaxed, non-judgmental space where honesty, transparency, and collaboration empower you to take an active role in your treatment. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, addiction, OCD, complex grief, and chronic illnesses. I am a comprehensive, seasoned therapist. I work with all issues, big or small. With me, you could: fix or resolve issues, reduce stress, get clarity, learn to regulate emotions, sort through life plans, heal emotional wounds, eliminate symptoms, discuss root issues, unpack deep truths, explore existential meaning, or get support. You will discover why things are how they are, and how to change. You will obtain tools and methods for implementing changes, while decreasing barriers to change. Whatever your reasons are for therapy, my goal is to help you so you can experience a more enjoyable life. I specialize in finding frustrating stuck places, including areas of ambivalence, ruminations, and spiral thinking, and give people the tools/methods for change. I use techniques from many sources. With 15 years of practice, I am confident you'll obtain the results you want and need. I am straightforward and real with people, with a warm, caring edge. I provide a supportive, nurturing, nonjudgmental presence using proven treatment modalities. I've also experienced significant trauma and other difficulties, and I know what it takes to get back your life. Note: no AI is used in this therapy practice, nor will it ever be.

Kailey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences and a Master’s Degree in Social Work, both from the University of Connecticut. Kailey is a warm, easygoing therapist who believes that therapy should feel like a safe space—a place where you can show up as yourself, no masks, no judgment, just real, honest conversation. She understands that life can feel overwhelming at times, but with the right support, believes everyone has the ability to grow, heal, and move forward in a way that feels right for them. Kailey’s approach is all about making therapy feel approachable and down-to-earth. She is not here to give you a bunch of jargon or leave you feeling more confused. Her therapeutic areas of focus include interpersonal dynamics, relationships, life transitions, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and women’s issues. All of you is welcome here. At the root of my therapeutic approach is the belief that every person is worthy of compassion, support, and the experience of feeling seen. I view my role as a therapist being a mirror, a flashlight, and a map—with the destination ultimately decided by the client. I see the treatment-planning process as a unique art form. The subject of the art—the treatment goals—is determined by the client, while I offer the materials: the therapeutic modalities and tools. I draw from a variety of theories and approaches, ranging from psychotherapy and somatic therapy to parts work, CBT, and DBT, to name just a few. All of my work is approached through a cultural and trauma-informed lens, beginning with our initial call. Another essential ingredient in all of my individual and group sessions is psychoeducation. I am an active therapist, which to me means I will not only reflect what I hear you sharing but also connect it to other things you've shared; ask questions to deepen our exploration; connect your experiences to relevant theories and concepts; and, if you’d like, share skills, practices, and tools. Some of my areas of clinical strength, which may be less commonly represented in the field, include Complex PTSD (CPTSD), bipolar disorder, and ethical non-monogamy (ENM).

I draw from evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while also keeping sessions real and engaging—because sometimes a little humor can make hard things feel more manageable. Together, we'll take small steps, challenge old patterns, and move forward in ways that once felt impossible. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be real, feel understood, and actually learn tools that make a difference in your everyday life.

Marc is a seasoned clinician who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in his work with clients. CBT focuses on exploring relationships among a person's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. During CBT Marc actively works with clients to uncover unhealthy patterns of thought and how they may be causing self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. By addressing these patterns, the client and Marc work together to develop constructive ways of thinking that will produce healthier behaviors and beliefs. For instance, CBT can help clients replace thoughts that lead to low self-esteem ("I can't do anything right") with positive expectations ("I can do this most of the time, based on my prior experiences"). The core principles of CBT are identifying negative or false beliefs and testing or restructuring them. Oftentimes clients being treated with CBT will have homework in between sessions where they practice replacing negative thoughts with more realistic thoughts based on prior experiences or record their negative thoughts in a journal. Studies of CBT have shown it to be an effective treatment for a wide variety of mental illnesses, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and schizophrenia. Individuals who undergo CBT show changes in brain activity, suggesting that this therapy actually improves your brain functioning as well. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has a considerable amount of scientific data supporting its use.

Everyone experiences distressing or overwhelming challenges at different points in life. Many people struggle to manage these inevitable difficulties, get stuck and then subsequently feel defined by their emotional pain. This can negatively impact relationships, ambitions, work and self-worth. I believe in people’s inherent right to live meaningful and joyful lives and in their ability to choose how to respond to life’s challenges. I support my clients through their courageous process of self-exploration and self-compassion. My therapeutic approach involves treating people as a whole: mind, body & spirit. This allows people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and with the support of an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship, my clients are able to make the changes they want. My areas of specialty include trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety disorders. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained. EMDR is recognized as a highly effective trauma treatment and allows people to heal from emotional pain that has stemmed from distressing life experiences. “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional” H.M.

You may be doing well on paper while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. I work especially well with college and graduate students navigating anxiety, identity questions, relationship concerns, grief, trauma, academic pressure, major life transitions, or the exhaustion of trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. My practice is welcoming to LGBTQIA+ students, veterans, adult learners, and others who have felt pressure to hide, shrink, or edit parts of themselves to belong. Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. Together, we can make sense of the patterns that have helped you survive, strengthen your ability to handle difficult emotions, and help you build a life guided by greater self-trust, choice, and authenticity.
