Have you experienced significant life changes recently and are having a hard time adjusting? Have you been feeling lost, lonely, isolated, anxious, or frustrated? Has serious illness entered your life or the life of a loved one, creating new challenges in adaptive coping and finding meaning in your life? Are you navigating profound grief and loss? I believe that by working together, we can identify and enhance your strengths while working on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful social connections. Each person is unique and deserves a care plan designed for them. For some people, a therapist is a sounding board and place to process through life experiences with someone who is non-biased, or maybe what you're seeking is encouragement, accountability, or assistance in assessing your lived experiences. While my approach is eclectic and strengths-based, it is informed by Acceptance and Commitment therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and a mindfulness/ mind-body connection approach. I am a certified yoga teacher and am working toward a Yoga Therapy certification. I am comfortable bringing in elements of mind body connection, breathwork and meditation if that is something of interest to you. Together we will build your resiliency and empower you to experience your most authentic self. I look forward to hearing form you and embarking on this journey together!

I'm so glad you're here! A little about me: I’ve been working in the mental health field since earning my Masters of Science in Social Work degree with a specialization in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from the University of Louisville in 2011. Over the years, I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting adults through challenges with mental health and substance use. Those experiences have given me the privilege of walking alongside people in some of the hardest and most transformative moments of their lives. I especially enjoy working with adults navigating life transitions, whether that’s beginning college, relationship challenges, big life changes like marriage or divorce, experiencing grief or loss, changing careers, experiencing family stress, or facing other big shifts. I have a special passion for supporting people with personality disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, and substance use challenges. I also offer a safe place for LGBTQ+ individuals. My background in crisis work means I’m comfortable meeting you exactly where you are, even if life feels overwhelming right now. My style is conversational, open, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy is a partnership. I’ll bring tools, strategies, and perspective, and you’ll bring your lived experience and goals. Together, we’ll work on building coping skills, practicing mindfulness, learning emotional regulation, and finding new ways of seeing and responding to life’s challenges. You've taken the first step. If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d love to partner with you to create a plan that feels doable and supportive, so you can move toward the balance, healing, and growth you deserve. I have been working in the mental health field for over 12 years and am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and growth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico, and went on to receive my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Aurora University in 2013. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including outpatient services for individuals with severe mental health conditions, inpatient and outpatient addictions treatment, geriatric mental health, and community mental health. I also have extensive experience working with justice-involved individuals and understand the unique challenges that can come with navigating the legal system alongside mental health and substance use concerns. I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe and supported. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you build the tools you need to thrive.
I specialize in working at the intersection of queerness, neurodivergence, and trauma. I am passionate about working with those who belong to the LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodivergent communities, parents, military/veterans, and those with complex trauma. I lead a queer- and neuro-affirming practice. Many of my clients are trans/non-binary, Autistic, ADHDers, and trauma survivors. I currently see adults, adolescents aged 13 and older, and families and partners, including those in polyamorous/CNM relationships. I know you are the expert on yourself; my role is to hold space, offer tools, and be a guide for your healing journey. I use a combination of evidence-based trauma therapies, yoga/mindfulness, and an understanding of your body's response to trauma. I strive to be aware of the impact of systemic oppression and marginalization on holistic health. I use authenticity, creativity, compassion, and humor to create a space where you can feel connection and validation. My goal is to help you feel comfortable getting a little uncomfortable, in order to move into an experience of healing. I am committed to creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for our relationship, where you can engage in self-inquiry and healing in mind and body. I'm always engaging in continued learning so that I can provide the most informed and updated support for you. I look forward to hearing from you and working together!
Hello! My name is Kate, and I've been a therapist for 15 years, and a virtual therapist for 3 years. I have a Masters in Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. I love working with people of all ages, and enjoy addressing a diverse array of issues that impair us from being our best selves. In addition to myself, I work with 4 co-therapists; 3 dogs and a cat! They occassionally make brief appearances during sessions to provide their insight. I generally approach therapy as an equal meeting of you, as the expert on yourself, and me, as someone who can give some qualified insight and ask good questions to guide you to your own answers. I tend to be warm and engaging, and I pull the most from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), although I also use certain tools from other modalities, as well. In our sessions, we will work together to target the areas in which you would like to grow, give you the tools you need in order to produce the desired growth, and tackle sticking points and struggles as you work on applying what we discuss in therapy. I generally will give "homework" between sessions to help you continue to think about and apply what we are working on in your daily life, but it's nothing intense, I promise! Most clients find the "homework" really helpful and even fun, sometimes.

I have been in private practice since 1995, providing mental health counseling to undergrad and graduate students who may have difficulties living away from home, strenuous academic schedules, trouble making friends and fitting in, as well as stress related to dissertation and associated exams. When the relatively brief nature of on-campus counseling isn’t enough, students appreciate the easy access and privacy of online counseling through the Google Meet app.
I have 20 years of experience working with children (2-12), teens, college students, and families. I am also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I utilize expressive interventions in my practice. I focus on Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Family Issues.
I think one of the main issues people struggle with today is cultivating resiliency, and therefore my focus in therapy has always been toward empowerment and strengthening clients from a multi-systems approach. I believe positive mental health and a strong self-care routine are a valuable asset to individual growth, and that therapy isn't meant to just be a reactive form of treatment, but one that is a regular part of all our routines. My mission is: to help people identify and meet their individual goals while being empowered and supported; to promote positive self-image; to foster emotional, intellectual, and socio-cultural autonomy; to provide education on life skills, emotion regulation, and coping; and to explore change for a meaningful and fulfilled life. I have a multitude of experiences that has prepared me to assist a wide variety of ages and diverse populations. I am EMDR-trained, and can provide this form of treatment as needed. I would greatly welcome the opportunity to work with you on your journey and be your supportive guide throughout therapy and your life experience.
